Growth Mentoring Programme – Part of BOOST Business Lancashire
Orvia delivers the Growth Mentoring programme for ambitious Lancashire businesses on behalf of Boost Business Lancashire.
Do you want to grow your business but you’re not sure how to make it happen? Could you use the support and experience of a business person who has ‘been there and done it’?
What is Growth Mentoring?
Growth Mentoring is a fully funded programme where your business is matched with a successful business person who’ll support you to tackle the challenges that you are facing in growing your business. These challenges could include: business planning, finance, sales, marketing and human resource management to name just a few.
The mentor will share their knowledge, experience and skills to help you develop your own Growth Action Plan. Over a series of one-to-one or group mentoring sessions they’ll then work with you to put the plan into action and address any barriers that may arise.
Working with a mentor helps you take focused time out to work on the business, rather than in the business, developing a growth strategy and clear business development goals.
With more than 300 mentors to choose from, we’re sure we have someone with the skills and experience to be a sounding board for you to test ideas on, and to offer a different perspective on your business.
We’ve already helped more than 500 businesses to grow and had some excellent feedback:
“The support which Martin our mentor provided was invaluable to us here at Fusion Team. He took time to understand our business, what we do and the challenges we regularly face and provided us with various scenarios and possible solutions for us to think about and implement.
Having Martin on hand as a successful, well connected sounding board gave us the luxury of a professional opinion and a fresh pair of eyes to offer us guidance. He provided us with food for thought on each visit, dished out plenty of healthy challenges to get us thinking and never left us without adding value. It was a pleasure to have him working with us.
As a small business going through the ups and downs of trying to grow both our sales, profit and infrastructure while remaining profitable and in control, the assistance of both Martin and Enterprise Lancashire Orvia proved extremely beneficial.
I would be happy to recommend this scheme to anyone who is either just starting out in business or is already trading and looking to expand. The time and effort you invest in this mentoring partnership will definitely reap rewards.”
“I found the mentoring a very helpful and worthwhile experience. Kevin our mentor was excellent, very organised and his knowledge was of a very high level. He was able to communicate so effectively so we were able to work out our financial strategy for future stability to lead to more growth. I learned something new every time I met Kevin and his input on the’ ins and out’s of business was invaluable! “
“May I take this opportunity to send thanks for our opportunity to take part in the ERDF Boost Business Lancashire Growth Mentoring project. The support provided by Jean Atkinson from Marketing Minds Academy was fantastic. Jean’s infectious personality and enthusiasm, coupled with her expert media knowledge and planning support have proven invaluable to us and has also provided the steps needed to put the discipline into our marketing process. I would highly recommend any support from Jean in future. Many thanks Enterprise Lancashire Orvia team for making us aware of the support available.”
